Our Parliament is to change its way of settling issues - Boxing

I was kind of stunned when the report said that two political figures would be in a boxing ring together. They planned to be beating on each other to raise money for cancer research.

I thought for sure that this was a kind of spoof. But no… these guys were serious about their boxing skills and they went at.. pow, pow, pow… bam. Boom… umph… ouch!

What a delight to see the short video I did. Justin Trudeau and Patrick Brazeau fought a real battle.

Justin Trudeau won a TKO. Even though Patrick could throw a huge punch, Justin prevailed.

Justin Trudeau as you might know is a Liberal Member of Parliament. He is also the son of our former Prime Minister, Pierre Trudeau.

Patrick Brazeau is Conservative Senator in the Canadian Senate.

These facts alone place them at two opposite ends of the spectrum of political thoughts.

The more I have thought about this fund raising event, the more excited I have become.

Canada’s political landscape has become downright boring. A huge number of people have simply lost interest in what is happening.

But this could be the turning point…! Wouldn’t you think that a boxing ring could be set up in the centre floor area? Instead of shouting about nothing they could send out their representative to the ring to meet an opponent… the winner would settle it all.

The Bible has the account of young David meeting the huge Goliath. Both represented their country or rather side.

Now that would make all things political in Canada far more worth watching on TV.

After haven recently watched “The Hunger Games” I also had the idea that the politicians in an arena chasing each other around, with the media looking in on them… would be a much more appealing adventure than what happens now.

Many would that make this new budget look great!

Nope it is not an April Fools day joke. They really did duke it out. Check out - http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/canada/trudeau-has-fists-of-fury-145469985.html
