Today’s Blog Post
Timothy John Carl Bath will marry Rebecca Beth Johnson today!

Today Tim will marry Rebecca. It is love all the way. Rebecca has two kids and Tim is delighted about getting not only a beautiful new bride – but also getting a beautiful new family.

Tim’s Mom and Dad will be there to celebrate this wonderful day. So will we.

There is so much story behind Tim and Rebecca’s starting their new life together. And Tim’s story is the one that I know best.

Tim was born May 26, 1979 in Lewisport, Newfoundland and that is the first place that I met him – as a little guy.

I first met his Mom, Fern Parker, in Fredericton, New Brunswick. I was the serviceman for her Cash Register at the Department Store she worked in. She was a recent Graduate of the Eastern Pentecostal Bible College. She also helped out at a local church as kind of a “pastor” – or “christian worker”.

I personally wanted absolutely nothing to do with a “pastor” – or “christian worker”! I couldn’t stand Christians of any kind. They were all hypocrites and jerks – based on what I saw as I was growing up.

I was so far from Church the day that I met Fern in that Department Store there are not words to tell you what I thought or was like!

Fern’s machine had problems and I came back a few times to try to fix them.

Fern was very friendly and found out as much about us as she could. When we arrived at her church one day I think she was more shocked than I was finding her there!

That was the start of a lifetime friendship.

Through Fern`s love for Alida and myself I started to change some of my feelings about the idiot Christians in this world.

Alida was pregnant with our daughter Dana. Fern held a shower for Alida. It blew me away.

When Dana arrive we were then attending the small church that Fern worked at. The congregation celebrated with us.

I still had absolutely nothing to do with this Christian Crap and made sure that everyone knew I wasn’t committing to anything along with them. I had a life to live and I could do it very well without the Christian Crap! Thank you very much!!!

Fern and the others kept loving us anyway.

It was later on after we moved to Oakville, Ontario and met a whole lot more people like Fern, that just kept loving us no matter what, that I made a commitment to the Jesus and my new life began. From there I developed further and further – until one day I stepped into the Pastoral Work and became a leader in all this Christian Crap – oops sorry… of dear Christian people.

My commitment didn’t change all the Crap around me… it just gave me a whole new way to deal with it. And in the 35 years following I have witnessed a whole lot of less than lovely Christian attitude – but at the same time I saw more and more people like Fern that made a huge difference.

That is a very short version of my changing completely in every way.

And it was all because Fern loved us and showed us her love.

Fern left Fredericton and eventually ended up in Newfoundland as teacher in the remote parts of that Island province.

Her husband to be was happily married to a wonderful lady. They had a beautiful family and everything was going wonderfully well as Les was a pastor of a solid old church. Les was a powerful pastor and a good leader.

The doctors found that Les’ wife had cancer. She passed away and the whole world turned upside down.

I cannot remember the time when Les met Fern, but he did. I think that Les’ wife actually knew Fern well and suggested that she might make Les a good wife and her children a good mother. (That part of the story is long ago and I don’t remember the details well.)

Fern and Les were married in 1978 I think. We were at Napanee for that wedding too. That was a great joy to say the least. Our good and long time friend that had loved us so much was now about to become a wife and a mother at the same time.

Tim came along in that next year. And I have watched a cute little boy become a man. And I have followed Tim through some difficult years of his wondering what the dickens would happen in his life… marriage?... ministry? What has God planned for me???? That was all of what Tim faced.

On Tim’s Facebook he says it all so well… quote…(warning the words are little over the top and a slight bit religious… ahem)
“Praise The Lord Jesus Christ, I Am About To Marry and Will Be Marrying The "Very Greatest" Woman In The Whole-Wide-World, There Is and Are "NO" Other Like She (Her) "My Precious Beautiful, Gorgeous, Anointed, Take My Breath Away" "Rebecca Beth Johnson". Not Only That But I Am Taking On Two Of The Most Beautiful, Wonderful Loving Well-Behaved Children, That Are Truly A Gift From God Himself, Excellent and Sweet In Every Way Possible It Is Going To Be Awesome!

I Am So, So Grateful and Really Can't Wait To Get Started and Share Every-Day With Them, I Am Seriously "Out Of My Mind" "Lost In Love" With This Wonderful Woman Of God. I Am So Excited and Blessed, That I Can't Hardly Contain Myself. God Has Recently Done Such a Huge Work in My Life and Our Lives Together In General To Even Make This Happen and We Still Need Your Help and Prayers.

I Just Pray That He Continues To Work in Our Lives and Helps Me Be All The Man I Can and Need To Be For Them. I Will Not Accept Anything Less But To Give Them Them The Best Of Me Always "No Turning Back" That I Can With God's Help and Hand On Our Lives and Relationships! I Say Relationships Because It's Not Just About Rebecca and I But About My Relationship With The Children As Well That I Will Need To Work Really, Really Hard To Earn and Prove Myself To Them Each and Every-day! Take Care and God Bless Everyone!

Please I "Humbly" Ask All Of You To Remember Us In Your Prayers Daily, As We Are About To Embark Into A New Chapter and Adventure In Our Lives...I Bible Says That "All Things Work Together For Good To Those Who Love God and Are Called According To His Purpose". I Know Both Rebecca and I Have A Huge Calling On Our Lives For Ministry and With God's Help I Believe With All My Heart That We Will Fulfill "EVERY- LAST-THING" He Wants Us To Do "IN JESUS NAME". Look Out Devil! Because Rebecca and I Are About To "RAZE HELL" For The Kingdom Of God and "TAKE BACK EVERYTHING" He Has Stolen and Robbed From Us In The Mighty Name Of Our RISEN KING and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST........Amen!!!!!!!”
Ends quote.

Does he sound a little excited?

So today, this afternoon, we will be there to celebrate with Fern and Les, Tim and Rebecca! This will be so much fun! I can’t wait! Gotta run – it is a two hour drive…
