“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”
As I watched Clifford, our 16 year old grandson, describe the movie that he just saw, I smiled. This is me when I was his age. The impact of one story was so deep… that he will never forget it.

“Grandpa, this was the most amazing movie ever! It is the best one that I have even seen!” Clifford said excitedly. That is quite a statement for a boy that has seen a lot and reads lots of books. “You have to go to this one!”

Last night we did. I can say with Clifford that The “Rise of the Apes” is a GREAT MOVIE!

The movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes description is as follows… quote…
“"Rise of the Apes", a completely new take on one of the Studio's most beloved and successful franchises. Oscar-winning visual effects house WETA Digital -- employing certain of the groundbreaking technologies developed for AVATAR -- will render, for the first time ever in the film series, photo-realistic apes rather than costumed actors. "Rise of the Apes" is an origin story in the truest sense of the term. Set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.”
End quote

I remember way back, when I was Clifford’s age, reading “On The Beach”. In our day we were worried about the Atomic Bomb and the last days. One wrong move and one stupid leader we would all be blown up.

In Clifford’s day… now… the threat is the fact that virus strains are about to do what no Nuke could do.

If you go to see the movie… don’t leave when the credits start to roll. There is more coming… and the punch is powerful! That is all that I can tell you.

Now if you are an old person like I am, Senior’s Prices at the show are about half of what normal, younger people have to pay.

“Grandpa, this was the most amazing movie ever! It is the best one that I have even seen!”

Clifford was right. It is Great!
