Me and My $11,255,272 Lottery Winning

Wow… what a good news story!

I’m not sure I could do what this couple have done though. They won $11 Million dollars then spent two weeks giving it all away. Every penny is now gone!

What an amazing thing to do. They had two pages of names of groups that they wanted to help. Then they divided the money up and away it went.

Allen Large is 75 years old and his wife Violet is 78. They are retired and live comfortably in their old house with just the right amount of money to live on.

The unique thing is that they are happy. What a quality to possess. They want nothing and need nothing. They are just happy the way that they are. They are amazing.

Now the test. Could I do the same? Who would I give the money to when I win it? My kids would get some… yet not too much… as it tends to make them lazy! My favourite places that I am involved with would likely get a piece of my winnings as well. Hmmm…?

Now I know that I wouldn’t by a little red or black sports car. We can get into them but not out of them any more. The knees aren’t working the way that they used to.

I don’t think I would travel much. I don’t like bugs, jet lag and loud mouth tourists that much. I don’t want to be one either. Sand in my bathing suit is not attractive to me either.
I would pay off some folk’s debt. Maybe even help the church with its debt too.

Wow – Allen and Violet have challenged my thinking in a very “Large” way!

I think I will buy a lottery ticket today. I need to test out my reactions and how I will respond when the ticket comes through. Let’s call it a “spiritual experiment”. I know I can do well! I really, really can…

What would you do if you win?
